AL-FARABI: PHILOSOPHY OF EMANATION, GODHEAD, PROPHETHOOD, SOUL AND INTELLECT

The issue that is still under long debate is the problem of the universe, which reaps the pros and cons associated with the concept of emanation. This paper intends to examine al-Farabi's opinion on the concept of emanation associated with the concept of the creation of the universe. This research is a type of library research, namely researching using documents from existing literature sources to help find the data being analyzed. Based on this study, it appears that the concept of emanation pioneered by al-Farabi is in accordance with the Big Bag theory. In the concept of emanation, the influence of neo-platonism metaphysical philosophy is very visible. Al-Farabi argues that the Prophet, Philosopher, and King are a unity of meaning despite having different approaches.

TARIQ RAMADAN'S INTERPRETATION OF THE REALITY OF MUSLIM MINORITIES IN THE WEST

The issue of minorities and the majority of Muslims is still an issue in the midst of socio-religious relations in world society. Especially between Muslims and Western society. Misunderstandings often occur and even lead to hostility, because a balanced understanding has not yet been reached. Tariq Ramadan, as a scholar and Muslim citizen in the West, reminded Western citizens that they need to understand Islam. Likewise, Muslim citizens must also understand things that occur in the Western cultural system which is based on modernism, democracy and rationality. The prerequisite he offered was that, based on his interpretation of the reality of Muslims in the West, it was necessary to encourage attitudes and changes in views, that Islam could also live in the dimensions of modernity and democracy in coexistence in the West and proclaimed that Islam is a religion of love for humanity and peace.

THE QUR'AN AND TIME MANAGEMENT

Time is one of the elements that runs parallel with human life. Furthermore, time is something that does not provide a second chance for a person’s life, but it does offer an opportunity to plan something, by managing the time one has. Time management, or often referred to as time control, is an issue that is often overlooked. Time management is a method or way for someone to design and plan something regarding the time they have, so that it can be used optimally. The Qur'an, as guidance for humanity, also commands to practice time management. This can be found in Surah Al-Ashr and Surah An-Naba verses 9-11. Surah Al-Ashr elaborates on the command to manage the time one possesses, while Surah An-Naba verses 9-11 explains how to utilize time optimally in daily life.
